Providing Specialty Concierge Services for Mature Women
A client of mine who was feeling very homebound because of her beloved dog who could not be left alone due to some trauma that had happened recently in her life asked if I could take care of her and her cat. It required staying at the house for several days which I did. Now she feels relief and knows she can travel freely and her home and pets are in caring hands. I love working with clients that have pets.
I was asked to be a companion to a woman who was diagnosed with early stages of dementia, she would leave the home while the husband was at work and could not find her way back which obviously caused great concern for the entire family. I came several times a week to prepare lunch, walk with her and do puzzles in the colder months, she had quite the sense of humor as well, she always made me laugh. I miss her and think of her everyday.
A couple, who had concerns about taking their aging dog to a kennel hired me to pay several pet visits a day to him and their cat so they could see their daughter get married. I would come for half an hour each time and let him out for fresh air and exercise, feed them both, clean the litter box and just sit with them for a while. Though the cat had a bit if a sassy side, the dog was so gentle and sweet, what a joy it was seeing them everyday.
I worked with a couple that was moving from their home to an assisted living facility and needed help because they were moving three hours away. I waited for the moving truck to arrive and had everything unpacked, the bed made and their clothes in the closet before they arrived at their new home. It was very fulfilling working with them and relieving the stress that comes with moving.
While offering companionship to a very intelligent gentleman he liked to watch fruit being harvested on YouTube, we would have guessing games on what type of fruit it was and how would you prepare it. That may seem silly to some, but for Stanley, it meant everything.
Karen had to go in for unexpected surgery right at the holidays, talk about timing! Thank goodness someone three towns over had told her mom about me! I was able to get all of her gifts wrapped and under her tree in time for Christmas morning and then returned to pack up decorations, help take down the tree and with time left over fold her laundry. Nothing makes me happier than being able to remove stress from someone's life.
Lori was a super busy doctor and didn't have time to purchase a wedding shower gift for an employee so she had asked if I could make a gift basket for her. Of course I was thrilled to be able to help her, I love being creative. I was able to create a beautiful basket with personalized items that she gave to the bride to be, the bride was so happy to have received such a thoughtful gift from her boss she cried.
Decluttering a space can be very freeing and reduce unwanted stress. So that's what we did, decluttered and reorganized my client's workspace so they had an area that was functional with more movement. Now they can make the most of their time while at their desk.
